Evidence and sourcing

We prefer primary sources: legislation, GOV.UK notices, regulator publications, official tariff data, company filings and the original research behind a claim. Where an article relies on trade press or market research, the source should be named and linked where it is publicly available.

Time-sensitive articles should state the relevant dates, jurisdictions and operational assumptions. A source list appears on articles where named sources have been recorded in the publication file. We are extending this evidence trail across the archive.

Analysis versus fact

Official requirements and reported facts are distinguished from LogisticsEdge interpretation. Practical recommendations are written for operators, but they are not legal, tax, customs-broker or financial advice. Readers should verify decisions against the current official source and their own circumstances.

Automation and AI assistance

Automation and AI tools may be used to monitor public sources, organise research and prepare drafts. They do not change the publication standard: material claims should be traceable to named evidence, uncertainty should be stated, and articles should add operational value rather than merely rewrite another source.

Corrections and updates

Customs and trade guidance changes. Material updates are reflected in the article's modified date. If a factual error could affect an operational decision, we correct it promptly and, where useful, explain what changed. Commercial independence

LogisticsEdge is independently published. The site may carry advertising, newsletter promotions or links to practical tools. Commercial relationships do not determine editorial conclusions. A product or service should be identified clearly when it is promoted, and coverage should explain alternatives and limitations where relevant.
